you know, when I arrived in my new school, I went through every list of every class I was going to teach with other teachers so they could give me a head’s up: who’s working well, who needs support, who is going to be trouble

and there was this one girl, everyone was like “you really need to be careful about her, she’s trouble, she will make your life a nightmare”

so, me being me, I decided to be extra cheerful and positive to her during the first lesson, way-over-the-top nice and everything, just to see what would happen with her in that case

as it turns out, this girl now FUCKING LOVES ME to the point where she will do absolutely everything I ask of her during the lessons, raises her hand all the time even if she’s wrong (which, she’s not even afraid to be wrong!) and today she even called out her best friend for creating problems because “miss has been very nice to us so far so you need to give her some respect and you’re not doing that right now so it’s your problem if you’re getting into trouble”

and now I’m seriously wondering if this girl is getting into trouble because teachers expect her to get into trouble and act like that around her, so she’s just proving them right by giving them what they expect of her

and that’s just so fucking shitty I can’t even
